Service Description: Violence Against Women (VAW) emergency shelter * capacity 30 * crisis intervention and group counselling, referrals, advocacy, community education * court accompaniment * safety planning and service coordination * children's program * transitional support services -- includes assistance in finding permanent housing, subsidized day care and local schools * psychoeducational workshops * recreational activities and outings * follow-up services
