It's Not Right Training is a train-the-trainer workshop being held in Peterborough. Participants will learn how to lead workshops that teach individuals to recognize the warning signs of the abuse of It's Not Right Training is a train-the-trainer workshop being held in Peterborough. Participants will learn how to lead workshops that teach individuals to recognize the warning signs of the abuse of older adults and how to respond safely, and supportively through practical approaches to help seniors at-risk or experiencing abuse.
Meet passionate advocates and professionals who have been identified as leaders and influencers. Take-away the INR-NFF tools and materials to be able to deliver presentations.
Champion role requires participants to have some experience with public speaking and making presentations. Be prepared to take action by committing to making a minimum of one INR presentation by spring 2019 and engage your community in elder abuse prevention and intervention.
Facilitators include:

  • Margaret MacPherson, who begin working with the violence against women sector in 2003 while on contract with the provincial government in the Ontario Victim Services Secretariat.
  • Raeann Rideout, Central East Regional Consultant, Elder Abuse Ontario.
