Caressant Care Nursing and Retirement Homes Ltd.

Caressant Care is a chain of  15 nursing homes and 10 adjoined retirement homes, located primarily in small towns, from St. Thomas in the Southwest to Bourget in Eastern Ontario.

Position:  Behavioural Support Nurse, RPN

Region:  Durham Region, Trent Hills, Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough

Description:  Caressant Care requires a Behavioural Support Nurse, RPN to join the team of professionals at the 124-bed long term care home in Lindsay, Ontario. This role includes assisting with the coordinating the care and services for residents with responsive behaviours. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge in dementia care, delirium, mental health concerns and the impact that it has on the resident's quality of life, family members and care partners. In this role, candidates will also be responsible for promoting and contributing to the development of a person-centred philosophy of care for residents exhibiting behavioural challenges and utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the resident, family, staff and care providers to ensure that a holistic plan of care is in place for the resident.

Salary:  To be negotiated

Terms of Employment:  Temporary Full-Time
