TALK2NICE program

The National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly (NICE) has launched TALK2NICE, a free, nationwide over the phone outreach support service connecting older adults and disabled persons with social workers and social work students daily from 10am-10pm.

This program provides socially isolated and lonely community members with social and emotional support through friendly check-in phone calls on a weekly and bi-weekly basis. It offers support for the mental well-being of older adults in the community and in residential care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anyone interested in making referrals for family and friends or for more information can visit: www.nicenet.ca/talk2nice
